June 6th 2010: Last week when i visited Luxor the previous signs to stop taking pictures and, the security guard to enforce the rule were gone. Last thing i heard was the hotel planned to put them back up again as soon as the new sign-age arrives so i guess we will have to wait and see what happens. In the mean time snap your photos of the cool Egypt statues while you can. Here is the text from the original sign-age and no i don’t have a photo as they security guard wouldn’t even let me take a picture of the sign.
“In order to ensure the safety and privacy of our guests videotaping and photography of any sort is strictly prohibited within the public areas of Luxor Hotel and Casino. Thank You.”
