December 30th 2022: The iconic Legends In Concert show has announced that it will end its run at the Tropicana after tonight’s performance of its Elvis show “Back In The Building.” The show features talented performers doing impersonations of famous singers and has been playing up and down the Strip for an amazing 40 years. Some of the impersonations regularly performed were of performers such as Elvis, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Frank Sinatra.
The long term status of Legends In Concert at Tropicana was put in to question when Bally’s Corp purchased the Tropicana earlier this year and announced plans to make changes at the property. The company also announced changing the name from the Tropicana to Bally’s.
Also there has been discussion about building a new stadium for the current Oakland Athletics baseball team a new stadium at the Tropicana if they move to Las Vegas which seems likely. Legends in Concert will most likely reappear at a different property on the Strip in 2023 the only question is where.
The show has appeared at many Caesar’s properties over the years such as at the Imperial Palace now called the Linq as well as Harrah’s and Flamingo it could return here or other properties such as Paris Las Vegas we will have to wait and see where it moves to. Another possibility is at the former Bally’s which is now called the Horseshoe where its show about the singer Meatloaf closed.
